We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Columbia Trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Columbia Trail
Trail through woods and towns, well maintained, follows Raritan River all the way to High Bridge.
Nice flat, mostly tree cover path. Great for walk, run or bike. The trail runs from long valley thru to Califon, I think almost 17miles. Relaxing and Scenic sometime busy in spots
***Note; there is no parking lot at this trail head.*** Easy, incredibly scenic hike during autumn months. The trail is flat and simple to traverse minus a few select muddy spots.
How is there multiple segments for reviewing a trail. It’s the same trail
