Confirmed from Patriots Path Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Patriots Path Trailhead
Parking lot is a little small, but nice trail to take a bike ride on. Mainly flat and mostly dirt with some gravel at the beginning and the end. Plenty of tree cover to keep the summer sun away. Staying on the main path, you can take it all the way up to Horseshoe Lake Park (~5.5 miles away).
Nice wooded trail with lakes. Great for biking and hiking also not to crowded
Very nice trail for biking or walking. Goes through dense woods for most of this section.
Nice spot alongside the Black River, trail merges with the West Morris Greenway and can be taken all the way to Horseshoe Lake Park
