Confirmed from Comanche Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful place with paved trails, some labeled, plus picnic tables and a babbling creek.
What runners say about Comanche Trail
“Always a beautiful place to visit, especially during the fall with all the colours 🍁 Be respectful and mindful, especially on the road.”
“This time of year at the end of May its absolutely beautiful and very peaceful.”
An amazing nature experience! Peaceful trails along the creek surrounded by trees.
First time going today. Loved it, but be careful of rattlesnakes. 30 mins before the gate locked, one was blending in right on the side of the path after the last wooden bridge before leaving ( or before the first bridge when coming in). Barely saw it and had to back off for a few mins until it disappeared.
I really love the very easy and relaxing walk. It's quiet and peaceful with the sound of the creek in the background. You can hear the birds and see wildlife like turkeys, squirrels, lizards, and even occasional deer.
Beautiful little "secret" many locals seem to not know about. Trail is an easy paved one. Great for all ages. Recommend going in the spring and fall for great photos.

“The paved trail follows a creek and offers a variety of different trees, including a small.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
