Confirmed from Comlara Park Bike Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Comlara Park Bike Trails

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (113 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Great trails that are well maintained with lots of features, stunts and a skills/flow area.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“Comlara Park is incredibly serene in the early morning.”

I've hiked these trails a number of times, but this is the first time I've ridden them seriously on a MTB. They are much more technical than I anticipated, but almost all of the obstacles have by-passes if you don't want to use them, and the two or three terrain features that concerned me we're easily walked.

★★★★★ — Stephen , May 2018

Nice mtb trails, there's a short intermediate jump line, a section with mid level wooden features, and lots of nice single track.

★★★★☆ — Ian , Jun 2019

Great trails for central IL. Most of the trails are shaded by trees and can be enjoyed by the entire family. There are lots of tree roots, so I would recommend a moutain bike with a front shock.

★★★★★ — C , Jun 2020

Great trails that are well maintained with lots of features, stunts and a skills/flow area. The trail markings are a bit confusing at first but after a few laps it's all good!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌲 Natural surface / singletrack 7 mentions

“There is not really any elevation to speak of at this bike park however it is ideally designed for kids that are starting off on single track and in this area it excels!”
