Easy hiking trails in a rural to remote area of North Carolina. I was the only human being there on a Sunday at 5 PM in the middle of a heat wave. The trails go through forest and open fields. Parking is limited but don't expect more than a few people.
A beautiful and very accessibile hike. Very well maintained with so much plant diversity. There are several pathos to choose from depending on your fitness level or time constraints. We did the longer trail and enjoyed meandering around the river. The natural field are beautiful!
How anyone could rate this below 5 stars is bewildering to me! This is a GREAT trail system that is short (takes about 45 minutes to do the loop), with 2-3 slight/subtle increases and decreases in elevation. The Two Forks trail meanders along the small fork branches of the Eno for the majority of the trail.
Thank you to the great efforts of the parties involved in preserving this gem! Beautiful, quiet spot, was one of two cars in the parking lot on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. Great short hiking loop and a nice pavilion.
