We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Contoocook River Park Trails yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Contoocook River Park Trails
“Beautiful spot to walk in the woods and visit this beautiful river”
“Really nice easy family-friendly trails that are wide and marked for easy navigation.”
Excellent trails to explore in this central New Hampshire park. Most trails are relatively level, but paths that bring you to the water level have a bit steeper grade. I love having this area close by and not having to drive far up north for a nice leisurely nature walk.
Lovely little place to walk around and check out the river. Has a little walkway to look out over the dam. Really nice easy family-friendly trails that are wide and marked for easy navigation. Open year-round. Definite signs of beaver activity. Maybe if you go in the summer, you could see them in action.
Great hike, there is river where you can come down the trail and swim, or if you go further there is pond, do not swim there. Otherwise east loop or in and out hike, dog friendly, sometimes can see some forest creatures:)
A great place for a nice easy country walk. Good for all levels as the trails are flat.
