We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Jim Hill Riverwalk yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Jim Hill Riverwalk
I was so glad to find this trail after a long winter. A lot of trails are still covered in snow as of this last weekend in March. This one was clear in most spots since it's a little less shaded being right along the river.
A really nice trail along the bank of the Contoocook River. There are options to make shorter or longer loops. You can also connect to the Mast Yard SF by crossing the snowmobile bridge. I've hiked and biked these trails on several occasions. Be aware other than a sign kiosk there are no services.
A local place in Penacook to hike, bike and head out to daisy beach and connected to Mast Yard State Forest as well.
Great trail! Highly recommended for walking and biking, and maybe even swimming.
