Confirmed from Copicut Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve featuring trails for walking, hiking, and mountain biking.
What runners say about Copicut Woods
“Well maintained and clean area to rest and eat a packed lunch.”
“Really good trails, plenty of different ways to take to add more or less to the hike, flat ground, beautiful rock walls, properly marked trails”
“Trails are well marked but take photo of map before heading into trails.”
“One area called Miller Lane is stunning in its fall beauty with a serene view (from a one-piece granite bench) worthy of a dentist's office.”
There's several trails that sprawl throughout Copicut Woods, most eventually cross service roads. I went two days after the area received 2"-3" of rain and aside from a few areas being rather mushy underfoot, it's an awesome trail walk. A great place to help one connect with nature.
We took a nice 5¼ mile hike through Copicut in mid Oct 2014 during peak foliage to see a very nicely laid out, gently sloped, well maintained and very clearly marked trail system through the quintessential New England wood.
Went for a hike through Copicut Woods. Clearly defined trails make it easy to navigate. The "farm buildings" we read about on the internet were really just old, stone foundations but they were still pretty cool to see. You could definitely imagine what it looked like years ago.
Love this Forest! Haven't gotten back in a little under a year. I have had some of the strangest experiences in this forest. I do believe I experienced the phantom truck the last time I was there alone.
