Confirmed from Coral Gate Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Coral Gate Park have two nice playground for kids of all ages.”

This is a very nice athletic park for the residents and visitors of Margate. Unlike a lot of the parks that close at sun down this park has lights and is open until 10 PM. There are three half court basketball courts and four tennis courts. A large playground is in the back of the park.

I discovered this park while searching for a good spot with a walking trail and basketball court, and I’m really impressed! It’s a fantastic park WELLl lit and has pickleball and tennis courts, a nice gazebo area, a playground, and a nice walking trail.

★★★★☆ — Ashley , Feb 2026

It's a beautiful wide open park. I love to go for a walk around the different parts of the park; from the pickleball courts, soccer fields, workout area, playground, and baseball fields. There is even this small wildlife section for owl nests.

★★★★★ — Sam , Sep 2025

A great park for kids to play sports and get exercise. The park has tennis two courts, three basketball courts, a children's play ground and a running path that circles the park. There are plenty of benches and water fountains throughout the park as well as some gazebos to shelter from the sun.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
