Confirmed from Cortez Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Spacious park featuring baseball & football fields, a picnic gazebo & kids' play structures.

“I found it give me a quiet solitude place.”
Great walking park, clean and well kept. Great place to bring the family, exercise, etc
Beautiful park. Lovely walking paths and lots of stairs for exercise. They have a football field, two baseball fields, a playground, and several covered areas for parties with grills. The park is really clean and well maintained.
It is a pleasure to walk after breakfast in this beautiful park. Thanks to West Covina's administration to keep it in good con6 it all years.
Love this place, come here constantly. It's clean and well taken care of. If you come early you see maintenance running around keeping everything in check. I love to bring my dog and he'll sit there and watch the squirrels all day. They've got a playground for kids, baseball field, and football field.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
