Confirmed from Corwin M Nixon Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Corwin M Nixon Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (650 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 8 mentions

“Excellent trails: paved, chip-wood, deep woods & lake side; winter sledding; two shelters; large fenced playground; very dog friendly; and clean restrooms.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“Absolutely beautiful park that I didn't know Mason had and I have lived in Mason for 11 years.”

We are traveling in our RV from Fl to my daughters house in Buffalo then home to Long Island. We stopped in Mason for the night and decided to find a place to walk after driving all day. This is a beautiful park! Great walking trails, beautiful scenery, safe and clean. The people we passed all said hello.

★★★★★ — Marie , Apr 2024

Always in a state being fixed. This park has updated it's kid area making it better as of 2021. Great for kids that are young because it's gated. Walking path is decent, almost a mile.

★★★★☆ — Chris , Aug 2021

This is a great park. It’s within walking distance of our home. We go to the park frequently by walking, riding bikes or in the car. It has lots of open fields for sports or flying kites/drones. A trail for walking and bike riding. Playground equipment for the kids to enjoy and some baseball fields for organized games.

★★★★★ — Ryan , Jun 2020

Nice playground, pretty park, lots of trees and about 1 mile circular trail.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
