Confirmed from Cottonwood Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Long, riverfront park with picnic tables and a playground, plus bike and running trails.
What runners say about Cottonwood Park
“Good fishing spot, street parking, playground, not super busy and pretty clean.”
This was a nice little park right along the Truckee river. We were in Reno to take our son for his new job and school and before we left town wanted to see some of the places around town. We grabbed some Texas Roadhouse for dinner and drove here to eat and enjoy the weather and scenery.
Usually pretty peacefull when I go and not many dogs so I feel comfortable having mine off the leash most of the time she can swim in the river and there is shade in the grass for us to play fetch
Had a great time doing some community service there. Hope those who use the bike/running path appreciates all the wood chips we spread.
Nice place to walk dogs... Easy bicycle path... Many places to pucnic.. Great fishing access...

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
