Endlessly pretty and cool here... There's a footbridge stretching over the water to the forest, and a butterfly garden of beautiful flowers at the entrance... Down in the water, we saw a whole family of red-eared slider turtles just living their best life, chasing around the fish :D The trees here are truly stunning…
I really enjoyed this quiet spot in City Park. Even on one of the most busy days of the year this spot has significantly less traffic. It's quiet and very beautiful. I love all of the flowers and shaded areas. We also saw lots of butterflies!
Walk across the bridge at the free parking for a hike amongst many different species of trees. I liked looking at different bark and walking along the water edge to watch birds. There are some signs with informative nature and history lessons. Mostly, the area is not crowded and has picnic tables for a quiet lunch.
I love Couturie Forest; it's such a serene, lovely place to walk! The forest is beautiful, and I enjoy walking and birding here. I also really like the signs and education given here to help people of all ages learn the importance of forests, and what kinds of wildlife live in them!
