Confirmed from New Orleans City Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This expansive urban greenspace with a lake & paths features a dog run, museums, disc golf & more.

This park is absolutely amazing! The oak trees scream history. The grounds are a beautiful way to spend the day walking or riding your bike. Visit the Cafe du Monde for some delicious cafe au lait and beignets; a NOLA staple. A must see if you are a visitor to the city, especially if you are from NYC.
Visiting the city for the week and found a local run club that held their Saturday runs at the park. Beautiful location. Even though there was a specific route that we ran as a club, I could have easily spent all day running (admiring and taking pics) throughout the whole park.
Incredibly beautiful park, and full of so many activities! One or a whole family could easily spend the whole day here and not run out of activities. From mini golf, to a sculpture garden, botanical garden to water sports, there is no shortage of things to do!
Gorgeous and well maintained park. The sculpture garden was especially cool! Great place to get away from the chaos and walk around.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
