Confirmed from Cove Road Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Peaceful park offering a pavilion, picnic tables, a kayak launch, and a swimming area.
What runners say about Cove Road Park
“A Quiet little park nestled at the end of a long road of 55+ communities.”
Great way to spend a day! Paddle to the left and make a right at the inlet to do a loop. You'll come out through the canal. If you go to the end before the canal, there's a trail to the beach. Watch the direction of the tide. There's an area that is super shallow so do it during high tide.
Quiet. Beautiful river site. I would imagine a good place to launch a paddleboard or kayak. Side walk to walk dogs. A single picnic table.
Trail conditions & character
“The location facilitates pretty sunrise views, small strip of beach which allows a little fishing, paddle board & kayak launches, and small vessel on loading & offloading.”
“Lastly, there are 7 designated parking spots with one reserved for handicap personnel.”
“Across the water is a park with camping and restrooms.”
“A Quiet little park nestled at the end of a long road of 55+ communities.”
“I don't consider this a dog park due to these two missing items.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
