We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Marion K Wilcox Park yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Marion K Wilcox Park
“Beautiful area, you really feel the serenity of it.”
“The views aren't as Grand as at talcott mountain, but the quiet in the woods is much better.”
Quiet little spot tucked away in Bloomfield. Quick trail to Talcott Mountain range and views of Avon beyond. Great little meadow for picnics and sunbathing among the trees. Adequate parking and clean new porta-potty with changing table for little ones.
Beautiful area, you really feel the serenity of it. Wish there was a stream but that's just nit picking. Great hike.
M.K. Wilcox Park is located in Bloomfield, CT. It's approximately 118 acres with about 2.3 miles of trails. There was a medium sized parking lot and a path up to the kiosk. On the kiosk, there were some information and maps of the area. There was a large lawn which would be a great spot to picnic on.
Great place to hike. Blue blaze (hilly) and orange blaze (less hilly) on one side, and somewhere in the middle on the other side. The park sits between Pennwood park, and Tarriffville/route 189. Nice views along the Tarriffville side. Airplanes fly closely overhead!
