Confirmed from Creekside Park & Arboretum's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Pedestrian-friendly park featuring a creek for paddle boats and kayaks as well as a fountain and dining.
What runners say about Creekside Park & Arboretum
“Beautiful place to walk and talk through after a nice dinner at one of the restaurants right by the pound and fountain.”
A really nice walking park behind a city center of restaurants and stores. No playground areas for small children, but lots of peaceful paths for walking and biking. There are lights that come on when it gets dark, which is nice. All the paths close to the water is really great.
You MUST visit this place in late April, early May if you love Virginia Blue Bells. The paved, accessible trail around the creek is blanketed in these flowers. There are nice bathrooms on site. The trails are not long enough for hiking unless you want to walk in circles.
Beautiful walk in Gahanna! Visited Creekside just after work. A much needed walk enjoy! It’s a good stop.
This place is absolutely beautiful. My family and I enjoyed walking around to see all the beautiful views. My family and I enjoyed watching the little ducklings swim with their mother while we were there. We also loved the area with the water fountains to sit and relax at.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
