Confirmed from Crocker Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational area with a variety of short and long hiking trails, some of which are dog-friendly.
What runners say about Crocker Conservation Area
“Great place for dogs to run too, very quiet and well kept”
“Have lived into he area my whole life and have never been up here but my god what a beautiful little conservation!”
“A great spot to go for a quiet walk with not much elevation change.”
“I used to love walking my dogs on tje trail by burbank but no more thanks to the city of fitchburg!”
One of my favorite places to hike. I take my dogs and walk from Flat Rock Wildlife refuge, to Crocker Pond, or visa versa. It's pretty easy to get lost, and I have gotten lost a few times. But they put a couple maps on trees fairly recently, so I was able to find my way out.
Easy and clearly marked trails. This was a perfect first hike for my preeschool aged child. Make sure you use insect repellent, there were a lot of ticks. We were lucky enough to spot a blue heron by the reservoir, as well as some ladyslippers growing in the woods.
Love hicking here. Im not happy that they took part of it and made it part of the sanctuary. No dogs allowed on that part. I used to love walking my dogs on tje trail by burbank but no more thanks to the city of fitchburg!
A great spot to go for a quiet walk with not much elevation change. There are a few different trails to choose from. Our dogs thoroughly enjoy coming here.

- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
