Absolutely beautiful walk! We did a loop around the lake and it was a blast! Parking was a bit challenging as it was packed at 2PM on a Saturday on the first nice day in a long while, but finding this hidden gem of a waterfall made it even more worth it!
Fun winter hikes and walks, took about a 1 mile hike from the parking lot to the slot canyon. The trail up to the south canyon had 2 icy lifts or areas you had to scramble up. There were some ice climbers in the canyon which was pretty interesting to watch.
It’s a nice typical Minnesota river park. It leads to the polluted river. Green in the summer and white in the winter. You can walk along the Mississippi River. The best part is the hidden part of the old farm. You got to find the access point. Scary but more unique and wild.
I truly love this park! There’s so many birds to watch. Plenty of different hiking trails too. There’s a small parking lot with a porta potty as well. There are some steeper muddy parts of the trail so I recommend wearing reliable boots/shoes.
