Confirmed from Croydon Creek Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve featuring hiking trails and interactive playground with animal exhibits.
What runners say about Croydon Creek Nature Center
“Beautiful Nature Center in Rockville, MD.”
Excellent place to bring young children. We hiked the 2.5 mile loop (can be shorter) and let the kids play in the creek. We then came to the center here and found lots of live creatures to look at which thrilled the children. Staff are super friendly and answered all our children's questions.
Beautiful Nature Center in Rockville, MD. Stopped on by to check out their feeders, and explored the Nature Center and walking trails. Well maintained and great location to visit. Visiting and walking the trails, etc. is free but they do charge a fee for some of the programs they offer.
Right outside of downtown Rockville is a nature preserve in Montgomery County with an amazing little nature center. This is a year-round place as the area has for four seasons and interest of flowers, plants and trees.
The employees here are really friendly and knowledgeable. There’s a bee exhibit that shows inside a hive with a queen and all. The grounds/trails are well maintained and has foliage to keep u cool.
