Confirmed from Davey Dogwood Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Popular destination for picnics, as well as hiking, biking and running among dogwoods and other trees.
What runners say about Davey Dogwood Park
“The restrooms were very clean and kept in very good condition.”
“The park is absolutely beautiful with paved paths and lots of picnic areas.”
Once you go through the entrance, you have a bit of a drive on a one lane road to get to the campsites and hiking trails. Once there, the park is hugh and a lot of trails. They had this cute one called the Fairy Garden Trails. It had different Fairy like things around the trees. Super cute!
Very nice park. We hiked trail #1 and enjoyed it. The restrooms were very clean and kept in very good condition. The suggestion I have for the park is to do more to mark the trails better. Perhaps that could become a project for a Scout working to earn his/her Eagle Scout designation??
Great place to see dogwoods. They have a nice pavilion and restroom. There are driving trails for cars. No busses!
Absolutely beautiful during fall! Everyone had a blast during our hike! We can't wait to come back and explore!

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
