Confirmed from Dean Weigant Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a wide variety of playground structures, a picnic pavilion & open grassy areas.
What runners say about Dean Weigant Park
“There are still good, healthy, productive ways to spend time and have good clean fun.”
Was a little disappointed there weren't any real walking paths. Looks like a great place to take the kids. Has multiple slides and a swing set. Covered picnic area. Multiple benches scattered around the park. Lots of trees. Bike rack.
This was a nice little park. It has one of the tallest slides I've seen at a local park. It even has one of the old metal slides we all grew up with. There's an area for smaller children too. We really enjoyed the park. Not a lot of parking though. That's the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5.
I really like this park because it has a water spigot and bathroom as well as the newest playground equipment. The gazebo needs to be updated though and parking is pretty much nonexistent.
Trail conditions & character
“Bathrooms, covered pavilion with grills, multiple cement picnic tables, 2 bridges over creeks, old growth trees, swings, baby swings, multiple slides, & water spicket.”
