Confirmed from Dearborn Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Dearborn Trail
Nice trail right along the river. Great way to get fresh air in a nice setting.
This is a nice paved trail. About 4 miles 1 way from Lawrenceburg to Aurora.
Nice paved shared trail. Bike rentals available through the motiv app at 3 locations along the trail: Lawrenceburg and Aurora. Mostly flat with a few rolling hills and short tunnels. Very shaded and resting benches throughout. Available restrooms at some points along the way as well.
Peaceful and scenic trail with the cities of Lawrenceburg and Aurora at each end. Only a few miles. But, this trail quickly takes hikers to another area as a you have river and barfe traffic to one side and operational train tracks to the other.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
