Confirmed from Deer Creek Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Deer Creek Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (50 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

My boys call this "zip line park!" Because yes, there's a zip line and it's AWESOME! There's a bike/walking path the goes around the whole park. There's a basketball court and soccer field. 2 separate playsets as well as some climbing stuff and swings. Wood chips are the surface on the playground.

★★★★★ — Laura , Apr 2022

Sweet playground with bball court, soccer goal, zip line and 2-3 play structures and covered picnic tables and paved walking trail around it. Not a lot of shade, wood chip covering. Good park

★★★★★ — Jc , Mar 2026

This gem of a park is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. A walking path around the park with a basketball court and soccer field/goals. A very safe area for your kids!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“There is also only woodchips so don't have to worry about sand getting all over the place on your littles!”

  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
