Confirmed from Delano Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌳 shaded & cool 3 mentions

“Also it was so wonderfully shaded in the playground the kids were able to play in the heat of noonday without any issues”

We went during hot hours. Lol. But there were some cool spots. Splash pad was on for kids and playground was active. Beautiful flowers on site and walking/bike trail visible.

I was in town for the Alabama Community Theatre Festival, and I decided to check out this park for my morning walk. I'm so glad that I did! Everything here is beautiful, and even the water tower has been given thoughtful attention to make it an architectural wonder instead of just an eyesore.

Went here with my Husband and adult Son. Bathrooms were clean. Park had lots of picnic areas and walking trails. The park has a very nice, large playground for kids. There are many informative markers telling you about various animals and plants found in the area.

Today was our first time visiting this park and it looks like there's something for everyone. The park was pretty and well kept. The Rose Garden was absolutely gorgeous and looks like it would be a great place to take pictures. The trail is nice and it is a dog friendly area.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
