Confirmed from Delaware Canal State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
State park with basketball courts and a trail, plus features for kids.
What runners say about Delaware Canal State Park
“Beautiful place to take a bike ride.”
Decent place, but the trail from here to the Morrisville trail head is ... rough
Nice area for relaxing and taking pictures. Canal trail continues on the other side of the lake.
Once you walk farther away from the railroad bridge into the woods there is a big tree with 2 trunks. The thing that surprised me is that I saw a statue standing between the two trunks. The statue also looked a bit spooky.
Really nice clean area. Fishing, trails, garden, and basketball courts are all here. Great place to take your dog for a walk too.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
