Confirmed from Denton Katy Trail - Hiking & Cycling Greenbelt's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Denton Katy Trail - Hiking & Cycling Greenbelt
So far I’ve just covered the North part of trail, from Loop 288 up. Love this trail, great example of a Rail trail that shares the space adjacent to railroad. Easy to follow paved trail with nice scenic views. Great for walking or biking. Also nice direct route connecting Denton to Lewisville.
Rode this trail with my wife and 12 year old son. Excellent cycling, walking or running trail. We will be going back or at least I know I will. We rode from Target in Denton to Swisher in Cornith and back. I think that was a bit much for my son, but he made it!!!!
Long trail to bike, walk, jog or run. Clean with not many people around, still seems safe and open view for other people around to see you and don't feel you're in danger.
Good trail for biking, walking and skateboarding. Not too many people out on the trail when we went, but it was hot. There is some shade depending on where you are at. We didn't have too many road crossings either. Overall seems like a good, long trail. Get out and exercise and explore on this trail!

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
