Confirmed from South Lakes Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Lakeside park offering many sports fields, playgrounds, trails & picnic areas, plus dog stations.
What runners say about South Lakes Park
“It has an awesome playground for the kids, basketball courts, pavilions, multiple nature trails, and gorgeous views hidden right in plain sight.”
“A good place to find a nice shady spot for a picnic.”
I have been to this place many many times and always enjoy it here. Great if you and your family are trying to do a picnic or a birthday party, lots of spots to choose from. You can also fish from the pond. There is a short trail or a long trail you can choose from.
Good park with couple of trails, and a small pond for people who are interested in fishing. Have a few picnic areas for relaxation and spending time. There is a party area and couple of barbecue grills, benches to enjoy the nature view. The trails are long and good for walking.
Awesome park. It has an awesome playground for the kids, basketball courts, pavilions, multiple nature trails, and gorgeous views hidden right in plain sight. A good place to find a nice shady spot for a picnic. Updated 6/24/2022: the park is still awesome, but it's hot out now!
Beautiful well organised park. Little bit smaller than North lake. But, it has more light on the trail track. Fountain increased it’s beauty. But, little bit looks flat and straight. Daily walking would be boring.
