Confirmed from Derryfield Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Derryfield Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (300 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 8 mentions

“Last but no least it's very clean and extremely well kept up.”

Beautiful, well kept park with newer equipment. Lots of options for the kids, plenty of bench seating for parents. Beware the wind because this is located on the hill top!

Next time you are in the park walk down toward Belmont St. on Resevoir Ave. See the large wooden door and granite jamb standing alone in the field. That's a relic from a bygone age. You are looking at the entrance to the town pound.

I like this part alot.... it has a great view where u can see some of the mountains. There's a huge area of grass section to have a picnic or run around or anything else that u can think of. There's a new playground area for the kids to play with a massive jungle gym.

It's very clean, great for all ages! Plenty of space if you aren't exactly looking for children for company&more of a pet person you could take the fur baby for a walk or just play some catch away from all the human babies that don't require leashes

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 3 mentions

“One of the best parks this one has little kids area, slides, swings, parking lots and even children can ride bicycles.”
