Confirmed from DNRT Destruction Brook Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Wooded, 1,500-acre land trust with 35 miles of hiking trails, wildlife, a waterway & rock ledges.
What runners say about DNRT Destruction Brook Woods
“I'd also like to point out that the trails were very clean and well-maintained considering the amount of people that seem to hike here.”
“You'll see massive glacial boulders, vernal pools, gorgeous Pine stands, Sassafras, and Holly, with Teaberry and Princess Pine undergrowth.”
“The main trails are very well marked, and complimentary trail maps are available at the trailhead to help guide you.”
“We do an hour loop, and our dog loves it.”
This is a great spot for hiking and walking our pup. The main trails are very well marked, and complimentary trail maps are available at the trailhead to help guide you. Everyone we met was super friendly, and the variety of terrain makes for a fun time. I strongly recommend this spot for a nice jaunt.
Nicely maintained trails, not terribly crowded during the week. Most visitors have good dog trail etiquette, and more on leash than not. Trails clearly marked, varying terrain. Small kids? I wouldn't. Wear appropriate footwear, bug spray, and enjoy.
Lovely range of hiking trails. Though there are no spectacular views, their are lovely spots to stop and sit, reflect and breathe. A great spot for a green shady walk. On a sunny day, the scent of pine and cedar is wonderful.
This was a wonderful hike! Great scenery and a very easy but lengthy trail - great for a brisk walk, jog, mountain bike ride, or even just a casual 2-hour hike. I hiked a total of 6.7 miles here, plenty long enough for a good workout!
