Confirmed from DNRT Slocum's River Reserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about DNRT Slocum's River Reserve
“It is well kept and those who Traverse the many paths are friendly and seem to share the sense of that I held.”
“Nestled amongst old farmland and hugging the brackish water of the nearby River, this welt rod end and loved property it's beautiful Escape.”
Very, very beautiful. Can only speak to a winter twilight experience but if it's this beautiful in the cold and the dark, it's probably literally the perfect spots for a summer day hike. Bring a picnic and a kayak. This is a very special spot.
Gorgeous hike with wide open expanses, some private trails and beautiful views of Slocum River.
The Slocum's River Reserve is a treasure. I went early on a November morning just after the first hard frost of the year and the frost on the plants, leaves and trees was almost magical.
First time at Slocum's Reserve. Trails are well-maintained and lead to the water. Appears that the trails are partially made up of easements from nearby farms/properties. Gave 4 stars because I found the trails to be confusing/not color-coded (use GPS) and I did not realize there was hunting allowed on the property!
