Confirmed from Doling Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Relaxed, sprawling park offering picnic facilities, trails and an indoor pool as well as a cave.

“Doling Park is a beautiful natural retreat nestled in the heart of North Springfield.”

This park is another place I grew up coming to on school field trips and birthday parties for friends. Its a little older so some of the equipment could use an update but it doesn't take away from the fun.

I go back to Doling every time because of how fun it is to roll down the hills here, and how easy it is to use a wheelchair around the paved walk ways The old cave here used to be a home, you can see the ',fridge' and the stone basin 'sink' etched into the sides Remember that fish hooks can get caught in the feet of…

Beautiful park with lots to do! Walking, Trails, Parties, Sports, Events. Beautiful views, Local History, and something to do for any age. There are a few GeoCaches nearby and this area is decent for Pokemon Go or similar games.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
