Confirmed from Dolphin Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Local park featuring sports facilities, a wading pool, a playground & an after-school program.
What runners say about Dolphin Park
“We still needed more time here but our quick visit was fun, clean park cool people and fun little league Games.”
“Clean restrooms, beautiful clean park, safe, great courts and lots of trees for shade in the grass.”
This is a great park for picnics or walking. They have a great play area for kids, basketball courts and tennis court. They have baseball games here and teams! Great big parking lot in front and the back of the park. This is a great park and big enough for many activities and parties. Good community park.
A well-kept park in the Carson area that is more so popular for baseball and the playground. I wouldn’t expect to go here if you are planning to host a barbecue - there are two pagodas for bigger groups and maybe a total of three standalone barbecue areas.
It's a beautiful park. I really like the two different playgrounds designed for different age groups. I enjoy the work out stations around the walking track. Even though they are designed for the elderly. The only thing I dislike is how far away the eating tables are from the playground area.
Dolphin park is very quiet and clean. I love to go walking there. They have a nice trail that circles the park. There is no car traffic either to disrupt your workout.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
