Confirmed from Donald B. Moore Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring disc golf and nature trails, plus a lagoon observation tower.
What runners say about Donald B. Moore Preserve
“There is shade around if you need to get out of the sun.”
What a trail system!! Seems endless. Great hiking. They have a #DiskGolf course that we noticed a lot of folks enjoining also. Most of the trails are under a canopy of shade. Bring water and wear shoes that you don't mind getting mud on as you may encounter mud in a few spots. Totally worth it!
The mosquitoes were really bad. We got swarmed with them I have hundreds of bites on me. 😭 I bet you this place is super cute and can't wait to give it a go again when it's dry. Don't come the day after it rained. I did see two bobcats. And there were a bunch of animal tracks on the trails.
Good amount of hiking, lots of edible plants if you know how to id them. Spacious and clean mostly.
Beautiful! The trail was great, just make sure to pick some bug spray! Mosquitos are vicious here. Once my husband and I got off the deck like part of the trail closer to the water, that’s when they really got bad. Cute little picnic area out front of the trails. Also loved the little library box that was set up too!
