It's a nice natural mountain peak in San Marcos. Beautiful view & one can enjoy sun rise and sun set if weather is clear. While clouds cover the surrounding mountains peak, looks beautiful ❤️. There is a tracks for hike from different approaches.
The peaks above the clouds. This park has an amazing sunrise view. 360 degree view of San Marcos. We thought of going to it for 10-15 minutes but ended up spending about an hour and half just taking in the amazing panoramic views of San Marcos. There are amazing trails up and down the peaks.
Gorgeous location with a decent uphill drive. Parking lot at top of mountain. A children's park next to ranger Station. Bathrooms are clean and easy to find. Hiking trail maps are provided near the wooden bulletin board. Wonderful views that stretch across the sky. Feels like your on top of the world.
Love love this park. The view is the one of the best in San Diego county. 360 degree. On a clear day you can see most of the islands, Arizona mountains, Mexico, all of Orange County…and the the ocean of course. Hiking options are great. Lots of choices.
