Confirmed from Double Rock Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
102-acre county park offering a playground, hiking, walking & biking trails & athletic fields.
What runners say about Double Rock Park
“The water was beautiful and I can't wait to come back when things start greening up for spring into summer.”
Favorite low key park. It features 2 playgrounds, a baseball field, 2 pavilions, a ton of Picnic tables, and a wooded trail. The trail could use some maintenance but it’s a nice getaway from the city. The trail features large rocks (obviously) and a small stream.
Blue trail Great trail. Hiking boots/shoes are highly recommended. The trail is a mix of dirt paths, rocks and and tree roots. The double rock destination was a beautiful sight to see as well as the flowing water. We walked up a hill, only to realize it was the self-titled suicide hill.
Wonderful place to walk around and explore! The water was beautiful and I can't wait to come back when things start greening up for spring into summer. There was a bathroom facility but it was locked while we were there, and the parking was ample and right next to the trail.
Nice park off the beaten path. By 'off,' I mean it's located in the middle of a neighborhood. The park has an open field, playground, and a couple trials that follow a serene stream with mini waterfalls. Just make sure to wear sturdy shoes so you don't slip and fall on the rocks.
