One of the most beautiful hike in SLC. Quite well shaded. About 1600 feet elevation gain. It is not an easy hike but we’ll worth it
Majestic waterfall ! Good place for getting your 'stair climber's elevation in to get glute gains. Sadly, you can hear the creek but don't walk beside it to visually see it. Most of the trail is in the pines. Took us about 4 hours round trip - would do again if passing through.
One of my favorite trails in Utah is because of the trees, geology, and wildflowers. I grew up in Colorado and the coniferous forest in this trail is beautiful very close to the start of the trail even though it is close to a city center.
Good hike. I did the north side up thinking I could cross over but it is currently impossible with the high water. The north side doesn’t view the actual waterfall, just a lower cascade…hiked the actual trail the next day which was harder but took you to a wonderful view of the falls.
