We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Dry Gulch Preserve yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Dry Gulch Preserve
Classic loop hikes through a geologically curious landscape. A primo place for finding peace through nature.
Dry Gulch Preserve is a wonderful hiking area just minutes from downtown. In the shrub steppe environment, one can see many wildflowers in Spring. Hiking paths are safe, accessible and the views are great.
Really nice hike, some good elevation. Not very casual on the trail I took, but that’s my preference. Saw quite a few marmots which was fun!
