Confirmed from Saddle Rock Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Steep hike with scenic views from the top, plus a picnic area.
What runners say about Saddle Rock Trailhead
“The trails are clean except people need to pick up after their dogs in some spots.”
“The views of the beautiful Wenatchee Valley with the gorgeous and powerful Columbia River going through the center is worth all the effort.”
We have hiked this trail many times. This last weekend we enjoyed warm weather with a cool breeze, talk about perfection! The views from the top are gorgeous, it’s such a rewarding climb. Straight up on an incline, rough on the knees coming back down. Just take your time and BRING WATER!
Excellent bang per mile/elevation gain, the view at the top is legendary. Pretty sunny in mid April, tons of people. Took me about an hour and a half round trip including admiring the views so not a huge commitment hike. The incline is pretty steep so either be in good shape or go slow, but the top is worth it
Saddle rock is a decent 3 mileish easily accessible training or family hike. If you’re in good shape it will take between an hour and thirty minutes up and down. But could easily be a 2 hour round trip if you take in the views. Small children may have a tough time if it’s hot during the steepest part.
This area is incredible for getting out and being able to challenge yourself with some decent elevation gain and a variety of trails to snag as many miles as you can.

“Dog friendly, wear appropriate shoes for when you get to the top it’s rocky in the area where the saddle rock is.”
“The trail itself is basically a gravel road not a trail.”
