We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Dryden Rail Trail Jim Schug Section yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Dryden Rail Trail Jim Schug Section
“A very good place for a longer ride bike, 4 miles one way, with scenic views and wildlife animals.”
I love that they extended this walking trail through more of Dryden. It now meets up with the Dryden trail from next to Agway and it really makes for a nice walk/jog or combo. The kids really enjoyed it as well. We did not make it all the way to Dryden Lake on this day but it is a plan for the very near future.
A very good place for a longer ride bike, 4 miles one way, with scenic views and wildlife animals. You can meet a trufle on the path between lakes so mind your steps please. There are some crossings with some traffic Which you should mind but drivers are really careful.
Love this trail. Perfect for persons with disabilities or anyone who just wants to take a long, flat and straight walk, ride or run.
Free, peaceful, good for walking dogs, walking, cross country skiing, or biking. Good view of the lake too.
