Confirmed from Dudley Woods Metro Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Beautiful and well maintained hiking trails perfect for an easy nature walk.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“Everything was so lush and beautiful, we even saw the most beautiful little blue bird (making me think of Cinderella) but unable to photo.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 6 mentions

“Nice, quiet place to have a lunch.”

There is something at this park. Just a little off the trail that goes up into the private property area, I have personally had several strange things happen to me. I've been up there about three times alone.

Love this low key spot for hot summer days! It's not your traditional park. It's a very hike type wooded trail but short. The paths can get a bit muddy after rain because of this though. The creek is great!

★★★★★ — Anna , Jun 2022

We walked the trail and cooled off a bit in the creek bed looking for any nature treasures. Everything was so lush and beautiful, we even saw the most beautiful little blue bird (making me think of Cinderella) but unable to photo. Nice little place to enjoy the outside to take a walk.

Nice quiet park and trail. Very shady and the creek is a good place to cool off. For videos of the area visit my TikTok: @bluehircine (follow Grizzly Fire-Fang)

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
