Confirmed from Eagle Rise MTB trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Eagle Rise MTB trails

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (14 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

This is a very promising network of hiking and mountain biking trails. They're fairly new, so the trails can be a little more bumpy than I think the final product will be, but they're cut in well and have great flow. The ridge loop to the south is steep, but very climbable.

★★★★☆ — Jophus , Feb 2021

These trails were pretty fun. Nothing super technical. But some decent climbs and descents. I also ended up riding around the lake. The trail is just a dirt road. Super easy and relaxing. Really enjoyed my ride here.

★★★★★ — Landen , Aug 2024

Trails are nice but spring time is the star right now! Lots of flowers and great views around the valley.

★★★★★ — Thom , May 2023

This was a fun area for mountain biking. Several trails for different skill levels. Most of them have pretty good flow. Pretty view of the lake. Late afternoon after school got out the trail did get busy. Still fun ride

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

⛰️ Hills / elevation 3 mentions

“It had very steep switchbacks and was pretty difficult especially with the loose dirt.”

🌲 Natural surface / singletrack 2 mentions

“Coming down it's not overly technical, but it is across a very steep sideslope, making any mistakes very costly (physically and financially).”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
