Confirmed from East Coast Greenway's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Walking, running & cycling route along urban greenways, part of a massive interstate project.
What runners say about East Coast Greenway
Diamond in the rough, rather driving, using mass transit, or jogging, it's a gem that I appreciate. Atmosphere is welcoming & never crowded, whatever your reason for being in this area, you'll appreciate your time here, trust me:)
One beautiful place to be at all year around Summer winter Spring and Fall take in the natural habitat and spectacular views everyone is welcome bring family or just come alone and take a walk early or late invite your visitors that come to New York City enjoy your day in the Bronx.
Cycling and even walking through the Mosholu-Pelham Greenway System of the East Coast Greenway between The Bronx and Westchester is certainly worthy! Especially in Pelham Bay Park, NYC's largest park.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
