Not the most scenic trail but you can get some solid pics in if you try. Came here three weeks ago and be warned, it is MUDDY going up the first hill. A full on slip & slide.
The creek in Keystone canyon was flowing in mid May. There are also several beautiful flowers blooming. There are several shallow creek crossing made easy by rock hopping. Gradual elevation gain that eventually opens up to broad hills and a road.
This is one of my favorite hikes with my dog. Couple miles of trails. You can take it easy or incorporate some of the trails that take you to the top of the hills. Those trails are not that difficult either though. Not a lot of parking as it is well used.
I recently just discovered the East Keystone Trailhead. It’s a lot more scenic than I gave it credit for initially. The trail is more looped, with other trails that form aside it. The trailhead really isn’t that hard, it’s easier at the start, and becomes rockier and steeper Midway through the trail.
