Confirmed from East Wetlands Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“A peaceful, scenic spot for a casual walk or light hike.”

East Wetland Park and trail is a nice place to walk or go hiking. It follows a portion of the Colorado River and has a loop around the wetland area. I only hiked about a mile or so up the trail and turned around since the sun was setting. Great peaceful scenery as the trail follows the river.

I took my kids fishing here a lot. Water is normally crystal clear and trails are shaded.

Is a gem in the desert. Best to go out and back along the Colorado River. Early morning. it can be hot. Trail loop not that well marked. Bring bug repellent Bring water Bring your cell phone Trail is sunny in some parts You are on your own here. A person could get a bit disoriented cause trees are tall.

★★★★★ — Terry , Oct 2023

Great place to get out in nature. The trail is well kept and relatively flat. You will see multitudes of wildlife on the trail and on the river. Lots of benches for sitting and relaxing.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
