Confirmed from Gateway Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Riverside beach park featuring fishing docks, picnic shelters, restrooms & a playground.
What runners say about Gateway Park
“Nice clean sand and great place to cool down in the summer heat .”
“Plenty of shade, swimming and green grass to chill on and people watch.”
We were on a road trip and stopped in Yuma for lunch. We have only been to Yuma to get a quick bite to eat or get gas. We decided to drop by this park just to walk around before a long drive home. The weather was beautiful and it was nice to see the Colorado River view. There was a playground and picnic tables.
Great place to get out of the heat and play in the water with shade. We really had a great time. It was pretty clean. We got there at 12pm and found parking easily. Cars were circling when we left at 3pm.
This park was so much fun. There are miles of trails along the river and plenty of places to sit and hang out. We have an amazing day here! They also have pavilions for families to hang out and a couple different play grounds.
Wonderful place to get out and enjoy the river. Hiking, riding, swimming, boating, playing and more await you here. Great place to get outdoors for young and old.
