Confirmed from Eco Education Center and Lake Apopka loop Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Flat for a mountain bike but very long ride and beautiful scenery.”

Awesome bike ride for those who don't need paved trails. There is nature galore with many species of birds and alligators everywhere. If you go down all the various paths you can easily exceed 30 miles of riding. The paths are from decently smooth to very rough.

Nice long trail with a few route options, be sure to download the trail maps from the parks website to help plan your route. Hard packed limestone makes for a fairly easy ride. A little bumpy in spots. Lots of wildlife.Gators really close to trail but don't seem to be bothered by bike traffic. Great trail for families.

The is a great place to come see the views of Lake Apopka and its wealth of wildlife. There are oodles of birds and the biggest, healthiest gators I have ever seen.

Love riding my bike along this trail. So close to the city yet you totally feel so wonderful surrounded by all this natural Florida.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
