Confirmed from Edison State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Green space with woods, a field & a pond, plus a museum & memorial dedicated to Thomas Edison.

Had an amazing visit to Thomas Edison State Park. This park is a wonderful combination of history, nature, and relaxation all in one place. From the moment you arrive, you can feel the historical significance connected to Thomas Edison and the incredible impact he had on the world.

This is like a little hidden gem in the area. The light tower is relatively spectacular considering there's really nothing else like it just posted in the middle of other suburban towns. The trail behind the tower, though small, is just as good as any other trails.

★★★★★ — Socks , Mar 2021

Located on the site of Thomas Edison’s former laboratory, this park blends history and natural beauty. Visitors can explore exhibits about Edison’s inventions while enjoying shaded lawns and walking trails. Perfect for families, school trips, or anyone interested in innovation history.

Beautiful Park... Kinda small to walk around near the museum but Ample walking trails. Check out the museum timings before you plan your visit.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
