Confirmed from Eel River Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Eel River Preserve
“Beautiful place but you definitely need bug spray”
From the parking lot, it doesn't look like it's going to be very eventful. But, like the saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover. The Eel Preserve was absolutely beautiful!! With every step, you get filled with sweet peace!!
Serene walking path. Feels almost like your in the middle of nowhere. Limited parking 6-8 cars. Benches along the path make good rest stop. No water, garbage cans, or toilets so carry in — carry out please.
Beautiful spot. Easy walk, mostlyflat, open and sunny. Thank you Open Space Comm and Community Preservation Act.
