Confirmed from Eise Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Paved city park with slides, a playground, a splash pad and a half-court basketball court.
What runners say about Eise Park
“My 12mo and I enjoyed this clean, small park with a splash pad, pavilion, and park, tucked away in a quiet neighborhood.”
Just recently moved to the area and this is the closest park around other than the school. Splash pad, grills and a small pavilion, 2 baby swings, 2 regular swings and a small playground. Basketball hoops and a walking trail. I brought my kids ages ranging from 2-15 and everyone had a good time.
Enjoyed a visit to Gerald A. Eise Park. It is intended as a neighborhood park. The listed address at 1203 Bourbon St. is for sidewalk access. For those driving, there is a small parking lot (<10 spots; 1 accessible) off of Glenview Dr.
We found this hidden gem on Memorial Day Weekend, after stopping by Vago Park, seeing how busy it wss there, and deciding to try to find somewhere less conjested to take the kiddo to play. Perfect for younger kids, although there were a few older kids running around with their younger siblings.
Trail conditions & character
“The splash pad is ideal for younger children and the playsets, pavilion, and bathrooms are well maintained.”

Plan your run at Eise Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
